Is there a grant for this

Is there a grant for this

Most SMEs are unaware that there are Grants available that could help their business develop.  Those that are aware often think that there's loads of paperwork to complete and they have other things on their mind that are a higher priority.  Also, some confuse Loans with Grants and think that Grants must be paid back which is incorrect – as I say at the networking meetings that I attend Grants = Free Money.

There are several grants that I mainly deal with – Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE), South East Business Boost (SEBB) and LEADER.

LoCASE makes Energy Efficiency Grants available to almost all SMEs as well as Business Development grants to Low Carbon Environmental Goods and Services businesses. Grants are between £1,000-£10,000 and are up to 40% of the overall project cost.

SEBB grants cover eligible capital investment in SMEs that will allow you to grow in the market place and enable job creation and the introduction of new products/processes. Grants are between £1,000-£10,000 and are up to 30% of the overall project cost.

Funding under LEADER is available to rural business, farmers, foresters, growers, landowners, environmental organisations, cultural, heritage and community providers as well as voluntary and charitable organisations to develop projects that will assist, strengthen and develop themselves and their local area.

The key thing is whenever a SME, Club or Charity is thinking of investing in their organisation, they should stop and think – “Is there a grant for this”.

Contact Bryan Hall for more details on Grants that could be available for your organisation.
